In the series Schatgraven Maurice Dumont selects forgotten treasures from a particular year in the history of pop. Tonight that is 1991, the year with hits like “Smells Like Teen Spirit” by Nirvana, “Losing My Religion” by R.E.M. and “You” by Ten Sharp, but also classic rock albums such as “Blood Sugar Sex Magik” by the Red Hot Chili Peppers, “Loveless” by My Bloody Valentine and “Laughing Stock” by Talk Talk. But we are not going to play that tonight. We mostly play tracks by band who have been forgotten or have become widely well-known only much later, such as Swell, Sun Dial and Screaming Trees.
