Benny Carter and the American Repertory Orchestra. This orchestra was founded by pianist John Lewis, with the intention of keeping alive the interest in Big Band Jazz from the past. Concerts were devoted to the works of Jimy Lunceford, Billy Strayhorn and Eddie Sauter & Bill Finegan. So today, the focus is on Benny Carter’s work.
