Genre: Bebop
Composers: Alec Wilder | Eric Dolphy

Alt saxophone player Earl Anderza
In 1962 the first and what would prove to be the only album of Earl Anderza was released: Outa Sight (Pacific Jazz). The sleeve lyrics are from John William Hardy who at the time provided nearly all Pacific albums of extensive and informative explanations. But evidently Earl Anderza wasn’t very generous with the supply of personal information since Hardy wasn’t able to give us his date of birth and antecedents. He was just able to inform us that Anderza moved away from Los Angeles, led a solitary life and had the same teacher as Eric Dolphy: Lloyd Reese.
Last year another two pieces (from 1963) came to surface through a sextet conducted by Earl Anderza which brings the total playing time of the Earl Anderza inheritance on just over an hour. The trumpet player of this sextet is the also extraordinarily mysterious Dupree Bolton.
