Canadian composer André Hamel (1955) writes music for traditional instruments, but always in an electronic arrangement. It doesn’t matter if its for saxopones (À Huit), percussion (La Trilogie dans un Presto) or harpsichord (l’Heure Bleue). Hamel is interested in the combination of traditional tones and unusual sounds.
