Piano player Kenny Drew (1928-1993) revealed himself as an all-rounder at high level at a very young age. He made his first solo album for Blue Note at the age of 24 but he had made a large series of albums with stars like Howard McGhee, Sonny Stitt, Lester Young, Charlie Parker, Budd Johnson, Coleman Hawkins, Oscar Pettiford, Buddy De Franco, Sonny Rollins and Miles Davis by then.
