The Jazz Messengers led by drummer Art Blakey. In 1958, he presented a new quintet with pianist Bobby Timmons, trumpet player Lee Morgan and tenorist Benny Golson. That last one would go on to compose legendary themes, such as ‘Along came Betty’ and ‘Blues March’.
