On Friday 17 March 2006 the third programme of the poetry and music series ‘Een noot een woord’ by De Rode Hoed and pianist David Kuyken took place. For this programme, Eva Gerlach wrote new poetry with Beethoven’s ‘Grosse Fuge’ while Stefan Hermans’ poetry was linked to music by Schönberg. A musical arch is spanned from the first to the second Viennese School.
The musicians were the internationally renowned German Mandelring String quartet, pianist David Kuyken – the musical composer of this series – and Roman Bischoff in the ‘role’ of speaking voice.
