“Mariama” a programme with African music. OIF
Today in Mariama we will be featuring a three-part CD that has been released by the Organisation Internationale du Francophonie, OIF in short.
The OIF is an organization that, among other things, organizes live performances for French musicians and in this way creates a international platform for them. The concept French has been stretched to every French speaking African country and island. This CD proves how much the OIF succeeds in making these artists internationally known. Some of the musicians that are featured on this CD are already popular in Europe and the United States. Like for example Aly Keita, of Ivory Coast, El Hadj N’Diaye from Sénégal and Habib Koité uit Mali.
