Deze mengelmoes van Spaanse en Afrikaanse muziek komt vooral uit Colombia, maar de wiegende muziek wordt wereldwijd al een tijdje door enthousiaste producers opgepikt. In deze aflevering van Folk It! aandacht voor de cumbia/dub mix van Frente Cumbiero en Mad Professor, en voor de Nederlandse tak in de persoon van Dick Demasiado, oftewel Dick Verdult.
