Special about Bernhard Günter. Günter makes extreme minimalistic electronic music at a low volume.
Bernhard Günter (1957) is a German composer who started making music at a very young age; first as a drum player and later as guitar player. In 1980 he moved to Paris where he attended lectures of Pierre Boulez at IRCAM. Next he went on to study contemporary compositional techniques and found himself a job in the library of IRCAM. In 1986 he returned to Germany where he fully threw himself on making music with the computer. In 1987 he started working on his first CD which was released in 1992. In 1995 he started his own record label (Trente Oiseaux) and in 1999 he received an honourable mention at the Prix Ars Electronica festival.
