The American trombone player Eddie Bert was born in 1922 and died at the age of 90 in September 2012 so all the more reason for a review. He counted as one of the most tasteful stylists within hard bop because of his excellent technique, smooth timing and tasteful choice of notes. Today part 1 with quintet recordings under his name from 1953-1959.
