Soft bean-bags for hardcore microtones
The duet Imperfect Distance by Andrew McIntosh for two differently tuned pianos lasts almost an hour so that’s quite a long sit. This is why the Utrecht Geertekerk was laid full with bean-bags for the occasion during the Gaudeamus Muziekweek 2012 and therefore comfortable listening to hardcore micro tonality announced music. The following Saturday it was Open Monumentendag (Heritage Day) and the POW Ensemble performed in the Utrechts Archief that Saturday afternoon..
