Tenor saxophone player Brew Moore (1924-1973) grew up in Indianola. When he was 21 years old he travelled to New York, where his career received an impulse in clubs like Royal Roost and Open Door. Sometimes he would travel to Europe, where, especially in Denmark and Sweden, he would perform alongside local musicians. Recordings from those periods (1962 and 1971).
