Joe Venuti (1903-1978) part 6. He was the first notable jazz violin player. He and his colleague and friend guitarist Eddie Lang were a pioneering and successful duo. Recordings by Venuti under his own name and with orchestras of Bix Beiderbecke, Hoagy Carmichael and Fred Rich.
