The Bad Plus (part 1) is a self-willed American piano trio founded in 2000, consisting of pianist Ethan Iversion, bass player Reid Anderson and percussionist Dave King. They play a large variety of styles, from avant-garde jazz to rock and pop. The recordings were made in 2003.
