The reunion here to stay.
When they were scraped together by record producer Dragi Sestic after the civil war in Mostar, the reunion of musical veterans from pre-war Bosnia seemed like it would be a one-off occasion. But things took a different course. Mostar Sevdah Reunion grew into one of the most important groups from former Yugoslavia, as regular accompanists to Ljiljana Buttler but also of their own accord. Their new CD ‘Tales from a forgotten city’ clearly shows that their fire is still burning!
