75 Years of Blue Note

tue 29 jul 2014 17:00 hrs

Episode 9: Clark & Green. In 1963 Blue Note mourned two big losses: musical advisor Ike Quebec and piano player Sonny Clark. After Clark’s most famous record “Cool struttin’” (1958), “Leapin’ and lopin’” (1961) became his last album. Guitar player Grant Green recorded his debut album on this label in the early sixties but it was released decades later.
