A programme on Gregorian Chant. Episode 133: Gregorian Chant & Flamenco
In episode 133 of Bonum Est you will hear Flamenco. Like Isidoor de Sevilla himself (560-636), most cantaores come from the south of Spain. The music that Isidoor might have composed, was probably fully absorbed by Gregorian Chant in the subsequent centuries.
Southern Spain has been badly documented when referring to the early music history. And that is exactly what flamenco is trying to maintain.
