The magic of David Tibet. In this episode of Theme some Current 93 highlights but also special vocal contributions of Tibet to the works of friendly friendly colleague bands.
David Tibet has been best known as the driving force behind Current 93, the legendary apocalyptic folk band from England.
David Tibet and his Current 93 will be the headliner of the yearly Incubate festival in Tilburg on Saturday 20 September. With its characteristic, biblical fulminating sound Tibet has written an impressive oeuvre in more than 30 years.
But there is more to David Tibet. He worked closely together with related acts like Nurse with Wound, Michael Cashmore, Larsen and Six Organs of Admittance. Earlier this year a collection with all the lyrics of David Tibet released.
In this Theme episode of course some Current 93 highlights, but also special vocal contributions of Tibet to the works of friendly colleague bands.
