Folk music from Turkey, part 3.
In this episode of Folk music from Turkey, recordings of two LPs which were released about 35 years ago for the labels Le Chant du Monde & Musidisc.
In these LPs there are a lot of dance songs, which can be found in all part of Turkey. These songs require a lot of improvisational talent of the singer. The long songs, also called ‘oezoen hawa’, are used at funerals and for love and military songs.
