Djessou Mory Kanté, a much in demand accompanist of famous African artists like Salif Keita and Sékouba Bambino Diabate. Djessou has released his own album, River Strings that is recorded in Salif Keita’s Studio Moffou in Bamako, Mali.
Samba Touré is from Mali, he is singer and guitar player and released the album Albala with the Glitterbeat label in 2013. He is an impressive guitar player and has a beautiful singing voice. On the Albala, Samba Touré sends a message of peace and unity in Mali. So most songs represent various etnic groups of Mali.
Toumani Diabaté is a famous kora virtuose, who had many-sided collaborations with a.o. Ali Farka Toure, Taj Mahal, Damon Albarn and Björk.
His son Sidiki is mostly known as a rapper in Mali, but he is also a virtuoso of the kora.
Together, they have released the albumToumani & Sidiki with ten instrumental duets.
