The American piano player Don Pullen (1941-1995) part 1. He became known to the public as of 1973, when he played several years in the quintet of bass player Charles Mingus. Shortly after, he started performing under his own name. His style contains elements of both hard-bop as well ass free jazz. Today his first recordings as a soloist piano player, from 1975.
