Episode 138: Byzantium in the Middle Ages.

In Bonum est’s 138th episode you will hear parts of two services from the Byzantine liturgy before the Fall of Constantinople: the service of three youngsters in the blazing fire (on Sunday before Christmas) and Vespers for Saint Catherine (25th of November).The sources come from the 6th century St. Catherine’s Monastery at the foot of the Sinai (see picture).
