The Amsterdam based band members of Babak-O-Doestan play their own work with influences from jazz, fado, balkan, Turkish and Iranian music. The lyrics are from old and contemporary Iranian poets or by singer/guitarist Babak Amiri himself.

3/ Seckou Keita.
Described as a "griot" (ode singer) composer and a true master of the "kora" (a 22 string West African harp). Seckou Keita is from South Senegal, was a child prodigy, born from a line of "griots", his father gave him royal blood. He got known world wide for his "kora" play and performed with several artists like Salif Keita, Yossou N’Dour and Miriam Makeba.
