We don’t know very much about the Hungarian born composer Mátyás Wettl. From the few biographies that can be found about him it emerges that he moved to Amsterdam to get a master’s degree at the Amsterdam School of the Arts after he held a Bachelor’s degree at the Liszt’s Academy of Music in Budapest. Furthermore we know he is interested in music, first names and the making of syrup. Cars were never of interest to him. Luckily this programme will show that the fading of the experience of time and the passing of tonality is secretly something that fascinates him. And he would like to be an advocate for the recording of experimental pop music in programmes for contemporary music stages. For the record!
