Programme maker/ host Thijs Bonger is searching for hidden treasures in the large but heavily underestimated oeuvre of Johann Nepomuk Hummel (1778-1837). In part we will hear the integral performance of his Mass in d minor, a forgotten masterpiece filled with intense emotions. And two honourable bows to his beloved teacher Mozart. As a child he lived in Mozart’s house for two years.
All pieces are by Hummel.
