They made the ‘original version’of ‘The Banana Boat Song’, which was then hastily recorded by Harry Belafonte, who sold over a million copies, despite a lawsuit for unfair competition from the Tarriers-camp. Furthermore the big attraction of the Havana Madrid Nightclub in New York: pianist Noro Morales and his tropical band, swing from Buddy DeFranco, Viennese Greta Keller, a bewildered Brigitte Kaandorp about a letter from a mail order company, Nat King Cole, Chet Baker, Louis Armstrong, Brook Benton, Coleman Hawkins, Perry Como and Les Paul under the pseudonym Rhubarb Red.
