2/ Tim Dorofeyev’s Project.
Tim Dorofeyev is the guitar player who took the lead of the Jazz Group Archangelsk after its leader Vladimir Rezitsly died. In 2005 he performed together with a ten-headed band at the first Ethno-Jazz Festival in Russia. This CD which was recorded live during the festival is an organic mix of Russian northern folk songs and Mugam which is a very old cyclic musical form to Azerbaijani custom. For the people of Azerbaijan Mugam is what blues is for coloured people in America.
