German pianist Klaus Ignatzek (1954) studied music at the University of Oldenburg. His style is related to hard-bop pianists like Horace Silver and Wynton Kelly. Today we will hear him play mainly his own compositions in trio and quintet ensembles with famous names like tenor Joe Henderson, trumpeter Claudio Roditi and drummer Billy Hart.
