The American pianist Hampton Hawes (1928-1977) part 1. His examples were Bud Powell and Nat King Cole, but he developed into a leading and successful pianist in the hard-bop. Trio-recordings from 1955 with bassist Red Mitchell and drummer Chuck Thompson.
