Contemporary Music will discuss the current generation of composers working in the Netherlands in this monthly episode. In this way we will create a canon of the latest Dutch music. Central today is the Japanese composer Yu Oda.
Today music by Yu Oda. Oda was born in Japan and started his musical career as musician and songwriter in a rock band. He studied composition at the California State University, Northridge and the Conservatory of Amsterdam. As composer he works together with various ensembles and musicians. He is the co-founder and artistic leader of Looptail and he creates projects with them that try to broaden the musical horizon. Besides this he performs as a DJ in Project 128, an acoustic techno band consisting of classical and electronical instruments.
