Mongolian throat singing is traditional music from Mongolia, characterized by many throat singing techniques. In English this is also referred to as ‘overtone’ or ‘harmonic’ singing. Professional throat singers can only be found in a few areas of Mongolia with certain traditions, and in a part of Russia to the north of Mongolia.

Acoustic Arabia_.jpg On Acoustic Arabia you will not hear any synthesizers, sequencers, samplers or drum machines. Instead of that it’s a compilation aimed at the acoustic side of Arabian pop music. On this CD you will find music from the Middle East and North Africa from the 90s and 2000, influenced by music from Algeria, Sudan and Syria. Many of the songs are sung in Arabic but the famous ‘Alger, Alger’ (by Les Orientales) is sung in French accompanied by melodies from the Middle east and North Africa.
