It is bound to happen! In this Pakrammel it will happen. An hour long the legendary and unsurpassed impro collective Gorgonzola Legs (with Gert Jan Prins, Martijn Swart, Masaki Oishi, Jos van Duyne, Hessel Veldman, and Herman te Loo). A mix of recordings from the EXART archives, from never released cassette productions and contributions to international compilation cassettes.
In the Vishal in IJmuiden endless impro sessions took place almost weekly from 1984-1989. All these sessions were recorded from start to finish on 4 track TEAC cassettes. After which they were listened and listened to in the Exart (Hessel Veldman) home studio and a selection was made of the most appealing and estranged parts. These numerous selected sessions were partially released on own cassette productions, international compilation cassettes and a CD ‘Piscatorial Debris’. In addition there are also publications of concert recordings via all sorts of labels.
The base composition between 1984-1989 consisted of: Herman te Loo, wind instruments, vocals, lyrics, turntableism – Jos van Duyne, guitar – Gert Jan Prins, percussion, sampling – Hessel Veldman, guitar, synthesizers.
This composition was regularly expanded with guest musicians, especially the Japanese Masaki Oishi with his kamikaze vocals strongly influenced the overall sound.
