The Amsterdam Andalusian Orchestra stands for the musical heritage of Andalusia. Music, literature and science thrived in this part of Europe between the 9th and 15th century. At the time this area was called Al Andalus, where many different communities and religions lived together. Now, the Amsterdam Andalusian Orchestra tells the story of Al Andalus and its meaning for our society through music, literature and education. Literature and music are closely connected in Andalusian music.
The repertoire is very diverse. Logo Amsterdam Andalusich Orkest.png
