1. This time, an instrumental Orient Express with two pieces from North India. The bansuri player Hariprassad Chaurasia plays RAAG PURIYA KALYAN. A raga for the early evening. It is a combination of two ragas: in the lower register the PURIYA is used and in the upper register the KALYAN is used. Chausaria is accompanied by Zakir Hussain on tabla.

2. Also from the Hindustani (or North Indian) tradition is the RAAG MISRA PAHADI. This will be performed by: Tarun Bhattaacharya on santur and an unknown player on tabla.
