American roots music shaken up by young ladies.
Sierra Hill was just eleven when she made her debut as a prodigy on the mandolin. Now she is 24 and produced with Weighted Mind an album which opens surprising new ways for the American roots music. Colleague Ruth Moody is not even American. The Australian singer and banjo player moved to Canada, where she became known as a member of the successful country-trio The Wailin’ Jennys. Now she is working on an impressive solo career, with as newest achievement the album These Wilder Things.
