Between Swing & Bop

Combinations from the 1940’s and 50’s. Trumpet player Harry “Sweets” Edison (1915-1999) made several albums with tenor saxophone player Ben Webster (1909-1973). Both flourished during the time of swing, with the bands of Count Basie and Duke Ellington. Today, we will listen to them in a quintet setting from the 50’s and 60’s.
