The sounds of the holy city of Varanasi (Benares) in India, are a unique collection of field recordings and original music by Serbian musicologist Srdjan Beronja, that he made between 2001 and 2011. Folk Music from Peru by Wayna Picchu.
Wayna Picchu is a young Peruvian group with three brothers who learned how to play several string instruments and flutes from a young age. Their music, which may be traditional, has a slight contemporary edge. In addition to traditional instruments, they also use keyboards and basses. This CD is a happy medium for both fans of traditional music and listeners who are looking for a more contemporary approach.

Kenyan singer Slim Ali (Mombasa 1947), with his band The Hodi Boys, released three albums in the 60’s and 70’s. The compilation CD 70′s Soul!’ gives a wonderful view on his work. The album is swinging with soul and pop songs from this Kenyan legend, who wrote musical history with his hit ‘You can do it’ in 1977.
