Music of nature
“Natur und Kunst, sie scheinen sich zu fliehen”, Goethe once wrote, but they always seem to find each other again. This next hour, we play music by composers who wanted to depict nature, not necesarily through nature sounds, but by calling forth an image of it. A romantic notion, which they however accomplished with modern materials.
