American pianist Ahmad Jamal, born in 1930, has been prominently present in the jazz scene for five decades due to his personal style which originates from traditional swing, but incorporates funky elements. Not many pianists manage to stay that succesful for so long. Today we will play studio recordings of his trio, recorded in 2016 in France and dedicated to the port city of Marseille.
