Even though singer Mel Tormé (1925-1999) had little succes with the general public at the beginning, this changed due to the albums he recorded for Capitol in the 1950s. Many albums followed, many times with very different line-ups. In 1978 he recorded an album with the orchestra of his friend Buddy Rich. Furthermore, you will hear recordings of pianist George Shearing on the Concord label.
