Music in leisure time. Today a summery programme with music from all corners of the world. First De Verborgen Stem (The Hidden Voice), a heartwarming 2009 project from three disadvantaged neighbourhoods in Utrecht: Lombok, Zuilen and Overvecht. This community art project was set up from the thought that everybody sings and singing brings people together. The three neighbourhoods were searched for choirs with a different cultural background. There is a lot of singing within the community, but almost always in a private circle. Because of that, old folk songs stay within four walls. Most participants absolutely were not used to singing on stage, but through this project they gained a lot of self-confidence which led to touching recordings. In the second part recordings of the swinging brass band Brasta!
