Playing the washboard, Herman Openneer (1935-2017) was a freelance musician in many old-style jazz bands, but above all he was a jazz historian. He was published in, among others, Doctor Jazz Magazine and the NJA Bulletin. We will play music of some bands he made records with between 1960 and 1983.
