Sparkling pluck work with traditional roots.
The American guitarist Tim Sparks [see photo] changes his tunes compared to bluegrass and country music. His inspiration comes from Eastern Europe and the Middle East. This is also caused by his Jewish background, to which he dedicated a whole album: ‘Neshamah’. For this album he gathered material from the Balkans, Ukraine, Turkey, Yemen and Morocco.
