Soul Jazz from the fifties
German pianist Uwe Oberg (born in 1962). He had the advantage of a classical education, but during the 1980s had started to improvise. Modern Jazz and impro-music where the sources of his inspiration, but contemporary composed music also played a part. We listen to adventurous and well-chosen improvisations, which he has made on his own, and in which he uses the mechanism of a keyboard. Unfortunately he isn’t discovered by the Dutch public yet. The recordings are from 2012 and 2015, recorded in Germany
