Today’s Music by Today’s Composers: Moondog.
Moondog was the stage name of Louis Thomas Hardin, a street musician in New York. He performed in Viking costume, which is why he was nicknamed the ‘Viking of 6th Avenue’. However, he was also a serious composer, who influenced many composers since.
