Simon H. Fell 2
Bass player and composer Simon Fell (Dewsbury, 13 January 1959) died on 26 June 2020. In 2014, he was commissioned by Marsden Jazz Festival to write a composition. Fell wrote a suite in three parts for a sextet with clarinettist Alex Ward: The Ragging Of Time. In this piece he explored the heritage of the earliest days of jazz, from the perspective of hundred years later.
