In memory of Kris De Bruyne (1950-2021).
Kris De Bruyne, who died on the 3rd of February, had a huge oeuvre to his name, and his career lasted for many decades: three years ago he had to stop performing because of his health. His poetic, yet often raw, lyrics and heavy musical accompaniment made him a bluesy entertainer.
In the Netherlands, he was mostly known for the song “Amsterdam”, which was used in a beer commercial on television.
