The wayward Prokofiev.

A docudrama about one of the most prominent and independent composers of the 20th century.

“The wayward Prokofiev” features one hour every fortnight on the life and work of 20th-century Russian composer Sergei Prokofiev, undoubtedly one of the greatest composers of the 20th century. Today a sonata performed by Nadezhda Golubovskaya, a fellow pupil and competition for the Anton Rubinstein piano prize at the conservatory in 1914. Furthermore, piano works by Prokofiev himself from 1914 and a part of ‘le Sacre du Printemps’ by Stravinsky that Prokofiev found a brutal insolence.
