JazzNotJazz is a programme where 100 years of Jazz recordings is used to compile a unique mixtape with useful and sometimes not so useful facts. It is also about The Soul of Jazz, so deviations to related styles are certainly made.
In irregularly recurring items like “The Unplayed Standard”, “Ellington Train Songs”, “Jazz Cameos” and “More is Better”.
This broadcast features a pianist four times; the oldest song is from 1935 and we play an old German song revamped. Also: two times Wayne Shorter as soloist.
